Muromachi- Edo period bronze okimono, lost wax figure of an emaciated old man sitting on what we believe to be a piece of fossilised coral , it was purchased in kagoshima japan in the countryside in the early 90s .The figure is wearing a jacket with a circle pattern detail as well as long sleeves showing fold lines it was black lacquer with most remaining size H 4.5" w 3 1/4 " the base is a little more then 1 1/4 h 2 1/4 w weight 335 grams
