This fine table box with highly polished wood trimmed in gilt brass and malachite cabochons. The interior is all original with slotted sections for letters (easily removable if its use is for a humidor) the lid still has its beautiful purple silk lining. The box has a lock but no key. engraved brass plate near the hinge that reads: "Williams -- Fenchurch Street," probably of London, England. H 6.5", W 8.5", D 4.75"
