Early Spanish Toledo Gold Silver and inlaid steel Jewel case. Octagonal shape box with scalloped base and high carat gold strip inlay with silver beading and gold wash. The interior stained blue velvet . This is the finest quality inlay, there is some silver trim loss see top and some rust pitting from age. Tight working lid with thumb release. This is similar to Damascene , Cairo wear or buyri but much finer work. Size h 2" w 2.2" and a nice weight with a heavy solid feel .
